GHD Air Professional Performance Hairdryer review

Today I want to do a review on this GHD hairdryer. I am very picky with my hairdryer, before I like my bedhead hairdryer until I broke it when I went home to Indonesia in 2009. I want to get a better hairdryer, however I could not find one so I settle with a conair hairdryer at Target until I can found that I like A LOT. I own a hair straightener from ghd and loving it, so I thought I can try their hairdryer, however it is not available here in the US; until now.

Let's get started. This hairdryer just like all ghd product is quiet expensive, it retailed in the US for $225 at Sephora. The hairdryer is black and come with 2 diffuser (like the picture). I believe you can get different color in Ebay and for cheaper price, but I don't want to deal or question it's authenticity, so I got mine at Sephora (as a gift from my hubby).

This is how it looks like when you open the box

I must say that I do love this hairdryer. I have a straight hair most of the time (my hair does get wavy if I air dry it) and it's frizzy and feels coarse and dry. Since I use this hairdryer my hair become smooth and less frizzy and it does add shine to it. I know it's not my shampoo because I haven't change shampoo.

The hairdryer has 2 settings for heat, 2 settings for speed, and a cool button. This hairdryer is not on the light side, it does have some weight to it. If you looking for a light weight hairdryer, this is not for you!!! Noise level...it's still loud but soft; if that makes sense. It does dry your hair in a reasonable amount of time ( I didn't want to say fast because that is a matter of perception).

So, does this hairdryer worth the money? Honestly, it can be a little bit cheaper; however I am very satisfied with this dryer. I don't usually buy hair styling tool just because I want to, I usually use till it doesn't work anymore, so I look at this as an investment. I still have my conair and will use it more for travel and back up.

Overall...
Fort the price this hairdryer works wonders for me and I am extremely happy with it. I fell that I found MY hairdryer :) My hair looks and feel much better with it. I am definitely recommend it to anyone. I know the price is a bit steep but Sephora has 20%off or 15%off coupon sometimes or you can purchase it on Ebay if you trust the person selling it.  Also, this is my honest opinion of the product, I am not getting paid to do any review on the product. I hope this review is helpful, if you have any further question...please leave a comment below and I will try to answer it to the best of my knowledge.

Etude House and Rose Collection Fall 2013 Review

Etude House and Rose Collection
Fall 2013

This fall Etude house come out with "& rose collection" inspired by sleeping beauty. I have to say this collection is perfect for the fall season. The color scheme is definitely scream fall!!! The collection is actually very simple and consist of 1 eyeshadow palette, lip tints, eyeliners, and nail polish. Let's take a look at them, shall we?

1. & Rose Flowering Eyes

I bought this palette because I really love the color, especially blossom ( I don't have any color like that in my collection). You can create many look with this palette. The lighter eyeshadow is a bit on the sheer side and it's a bit hard to build the color. However, the darker color is very pigmented, so be careful not to put too much. Overall, I do like this palette and you guys should check it out. If you can only buy one thing from the collection, I say get this palette.

2. & Rose Drawing Show Creamy Pencil

I have 2/4 of this eyeliners; PP501 and RD304. I decided to get those two because again I do not have anything in those two color. I have not yet use the pencil so I can't tell you if this pencil actually smudges or not but I can predict that this pencil might smudge a bit on me from my swatches. It's very hard for me to find eyeliner that don't smudge (only Urban decay eyeliner doesn't smudge on me). I can tell you that the pencil has a good formulation because it glides on smoothly and very pigmented.

3. & Rose Rosy Tint Lips

From the entire collection, the lip tints have the most color selection; there is 8 different color to choose from. The swatches on this picture are very true in real life. I got 3 of these lip tint; #5 Baby peony, #7 Tea rose, and #8 After blossom. This lip tint is very pigmented which is great, however for a lip tint, it does not tint your lip at all. I think instead of naming it lip tint, it should be lip color. I was hoping it would tint your lip since it's called lip tint but overall I'm content with this product since at least the color is there and very pretty.

4. & Rose Flowering Nails

I just recently order this nail polish online and have yet to received it. However I'm excited for this polish. Again, the color is very fall appropriate, pretty, and feminine. The design is very interesting too, lacey...I never have a design like that before. Yup...I'm very excited about it.

So, that is all for this review. I hope you found it useful, except for the nail polish of course because I don't have it yet. I feel that the rose color in the collection is very appropriate for fall and the sleeping beauty theme is portrayed by the feminine color and packaging in this collection. Over all I really like this collection and would recommend it to anyone.

Etude House: Sweet Recipe Spring 2013 Make-up Collection

This time I want to review a collection by Etude House. If you are not familiar with Etude House, it is a Korean make-up brand that getting very popular all over the world. They open up their store majority of it in Asia. I personally hope that they open one up here in the US.

This collection is called Sweet Recipe for Spring 2013 Collection and it was endorsed by f(x) sulli and Krystal with SHInee. The concept of the collection is something sweet that's why all the name and packaging of this collection are things you can find at a bakery or something sweet ;) ok lets get started.

Baby Choux Base

This is a make up base/primer. This product supposed to give your skin a baby like skin finish and to help you foundation/BB cream/ CC cream to glide on more smoothly. I have this base in Peach Choux and I must say it's ok so far. I only wear it once to be  honest. It does made my skin feel baby smooth and my BB cream does glide a little bit more smoothly. I have to keep on using it to really see if this product is any good.

Cookie Pact

I actually did  not purchase this powder. The reason is that I read other blogger's review on it and I feel like I don't miss out on anything by not purchasing this powder. I'm using Chanel and Lancome finishing powder and I love the two so I figure why buy another one that doesn't work as well. Base on the review I read this powder doesn't do anything special, the oil control is not that great and the packaging is cheap (unfortunately some packaging on this collection are a bit cheap). If you've try this powder please leave a comment bellow and let me know what you think.

Chocolate Highlighter

I bought this highlighter since I don't have a powder highlighter. I actually like this highlighter even though it doesn't give a subtle highlight, it does brighten your face. I like using it if I'm not using blush or if I use the all over color from this collection. My recommendation is not to use a shimmery blush or bronzer when you use this highlighter because this highlighter is very shimmery and shiny. This product's packaging is cute however it is very cheap looking.

Chocolate Eyes

This chocolate palate is so cute...it makes me want to eat it instead. The brown color in the palate is very pigmented and very good for everyday use. I recommend this for those who are new to make up and it's good to have anyway if you are not new to make-up. The color is matte which is perfect for me because I have tons of shimmery brown. I do use this palate more often because its convenient. The downside is the packaging. It's a cardboard box packaging; very cheap and not very sturdy for travel.

Cupcake Eyes

One word to describe this eyeshadow? Shimmery!!! I have 3 of the eyeshadows: PK001, OR201, PP501. I do like these eyeshadow since I like the more natural make-up look for everyday. These shadows does give you color on your eyes, the shimmer brighten your eyes and yet still look natural. It won't make you look like you wear lots of make-up. The packaging is very cute, the only down side is I got it mix up with the all over color sometimes due to similar packaging.

Chocolate smudge liner

I admit the reason I bought this eyeliner in the first place is because of the cute packaging. I bought #2 of this eyeliner which is more of a lighter brown color. I found this eyeliner to be comparable to the wet'n wild gel liner. I feel for it's price it's not that good. I have to go in 2-3 times before I can get a solid line with this eyeliner; I don't know if it's because I have a lighter color? Anyone with the same issue? How's the darker color work for everyone else?

Cupcake All Over Color

I believe this product has multi-purpose. You can use it on your eyes, cheeks, and lips. So far I've only use it for cheek color. I don't know about using it on the lips though; eyes maybe. I really like this products not only it smells good and has cute packaging but it looks very nice on my skin tone ( I have a light-medium skin tone). The colors that I have are: PK001, PK002, and OR202. I use them a lot now. They look very nice together with chocolate highlighter to create a bright and fresh look.

Jelly Lips-talk

From the entire collection I was most excited about this lipstick, that's why I order 5 out of 8 lipstick. The colors I own are: JPK001, JPK002, JOR201, JPK003, and JOR203. The lipsticks however were not as great as I thought they would be. The color is sheer which I don't have a problem with because it looks very nice on the lips and its very shiny. However, this lipstick is not very moisturizing...my lips are dry when the color wears off. I have to use lip balm underneath this lipstick (even when re-applying). So, if you want a moisturizing lipstick, this is not for you.

Candy Stick

I was sure if I wanted to get this one but I gave in and buy one, #1 the pink one. I think their lip products for this collection just not very moisturizing. This candy stick is as drying as the lipstick and I'm glad I only got 1 of this. The color is pretty and the packaging is cute but that's all. If this thing is supposed to tint your lips, it doesn't and for a tinted lip balm is sure is not moisturizing at all. I don't recommend this one at all.

Ice Cream Nails

I'm actually quiet impress with the nail polish. For $3 these nail polish last awhile and very opaque. I have 3 of these nail polish, I have PK001, BL601, and OR201. The color is very cute and I love the ice-cream concept ( I LOVE ICE CREAM!!!) The price is not very bad either. I definitely recommend this product.

The rest of the products I'm showing you are all in the collection however I did not purchase them. They are all tools and you can always purchase them else where. here they are:

Cotton Candy Ball

Sliced Cake Puffs

Chocolate Stick Eyeliner Brush

Chocolate Stick Eyeshadow Brush

Overall I think they have a very fun and creative idea. From the packaging to the name of the products, they are very cute and delicious. I just wish that the quality of the product to be a bit better, especially the lipstick. I hope this short review help you decide what to get if you are interested in the collection. I will see you guys next time.
